Withings Baby Companion App Reviews

Poor

It is important to know that while Withings may charge you hundreds for their scales, they provide zero support. Since I have owned their smart scale, they have eliminated iPad support making it a lot harder to use. The app they replaced it with, this one, is full of bloat and bugs. For example, the step count it uses is incorrect and does not match the one in the health app. For the baby scale, they require you to configure it using an old pre-iOS 7 app that generates a warning on 64 bit devices. It likely wont work much longer rendering a very expensive scale nearly useless. Be very wary of this company.

Crash! Crash! Crash!!!

Lots off bugs and info from iOS... that developer sholud update app because it makes iPhone slower.

Crashes all the time

Iphone 6, iOS 9. Application crashes all the time. Seems to be old application without high resolution support.

Great idea, poorly made.

Scale loses sync, hangs when reconfiguring even after updates. Worked as advertised only for a week. Removed the app, now using the scale only with pen & paper.

Issues since iOS 9

Since iOS 9 the sync is slow and the list view is broken, as soon as its opened the app crashes. As a companion app to expensive hardware (200$) this should be working flawless. Also not updates for bigger screens.

Осторожно! Caution!

Вначале все хорошо, но как только ваши данные накопятся за период времени приложение выдаст ошибку и вы потеряете все данные. Служба поддержки отвечает, но ничем не может помочь. At first all is well, but as soon as your data are accumulated over a period of time the application will generate an error and you will lose all data. Support is responsible, but he could not help.

Nicely done

Very nice app, not to over crowded with info but just enough IMO. Works well on iPhone 5, wish there was an iPad version as well not just an iPhone on iPad but not everything can be perfect. Easy to use and straightforward.

Didnt like it

Complicated and not too useful

Inaccurate

Just what every parent wants to hear....that my breastfed 2 week old is "overweight". Thanks, jerks. My kid is 90th percentile across the board. Not sure where their data comes from. Im deleting this app and am glad I used my junk email address.

Mom

Overall easy to use

Inaccurate comparison

I do not know where the get percentile but we just came back from docs exam and our kid is in 72 percentile. This app is saying he is in 25 percentile which is impossible! Wasted my time setting it up!

Really needs diaper changing tracking function

This is just as important as knowing when the baby last fed.

Well done

As I would expect a Withings App to be!

Sync was a good surprise

Yes, u can sinc with other phones. It does it automatically. If u want to track weight and know how feelings are going, great device. It is expensive but so easy to track. If you are standing on scale and subtracting your weight...then get this scale!

Poor UX

The app crashed the first two times I tried to set it up on my iPhone 5S, so it saved two entries for my baby. It wont let you delete or edit any of your information once its been entered. Im going to try another app thats been more thoroughly developed.

Cool idea!

Easy to put together and use. Great for times in between doctor appointments when youre curious to see how your child is growing.

Great tracker

Awesome app! Very intuitive!

Frustrating Buttons. Breaks Under iOS 7.1.1

Similar to another Withings app, Healthmate, this apps buttons are very difficult to tap. It has strong "right-hand" bias and even using the right hand can often require multiple taps to make it respond. May 1 update: It breaks under 7.1.1. Upon opening the table to review/delete a record, the app crashes.

App crash on viewing list of feeding

When trying to get to the list of feedings the app crashes. Reinstall action of app does not fix this and it happens on multiple devices so it isnt a device problem. Please fix this issue. It has happened for at least the past 2-3 months

It crashes constantly

Just like some other peoples feedback, the app crashes when you try to look at the historical data of the bottle feedings. This app can be very useful, especially if you buy the Withings baby scale but this bug renders the entire app basically useless. I have given this feedback repeatedly for 3 months without a response, any updates nor any feedback that they are working on the issue. Knowing how many bottles or how many ounces your baby is drinking a day is important data. There are other apps that do this... Though it doesnt automatically record the weight, I have switched over to Similac baby journal as it keeps all the information I need all in 1 app. This is truly such a shame... Seems like a simple fix but does not appear to be of any concern. I love the Withings products... I use the pulse health mate, the adult scale, the baby scale & the baby monitor. This app is the only product of theirs that I am truly disappointed and I have given them plenty of opportunity to fix this prior to my post.
